My own moon

Sat Nov 7, 2009, 10:52 PM
Wow, just fucking.... wow. I'm writing this at 6.28 in the morning after having one of the mosy vivid and down right execellent dreams I've ever had (and I mean literally I forced myself to wake up after the dream ended.

While already some of the dream has faded, a lot of it remains freash in my mind. it was a female mercenary style adventurer (played by claudia black) her young sidekick, her rival, and her old army buddy.

The main character finds out that her old friend wasn't dead like she thought and in fact was being experimented on in the mountains (don't know which "mountains though). She could to try and save him only to find out that the experiments were to remove a persons soul from their body and implant them into another body having then take over as that person.

Now that it were things start to fade so excuse the jumps in plots.

it ends up with the rivals soul getting put into the main characters, (seriously I'm calling her claudia in my main cause I don't know her real name.) But her body rejects the soul and it ends up being pushed out into nothingness where it seemingly dies.

Then the main character and the sidekick return to a place where an old man is sitting outside. It was an old amry place where the main character and her old friend used to fequent. she reports to the man that her friend didn't die when she thought and that the records should be updated (she was partially crying swhen she did this, you could really feel the emotion of the moment.

But then it cuts to the inside where it turns out the man was still alive though in the process of dying. the main character helps him to a bed during which time one of the best lines my strange brain has come up with appears. The man asks how he fought off her rivals souls and reply is: "I don't know, it's like my body just rejected it, I looked up and it wasn't my own moon." GAH that's not the line but I can't remember that acctual line anymore, but the basic line that I'm trying to say is "It's not my own moon" for some reason I love that line, and the strange out of place context it had within my dream.

After that she lay the man on the bed where it's discovered that her rivals soul someone found it's way to her old army friends body and they're currently sharing it, she reveals that she's enjoying herself (in a good way not an evil way) sharing the body before it spasms and dies as she says: "it's bliss" as the main character shouts and cries for them both.

That's when the dream ended, somehow I woke myself up after that and here I am. This dream just outright blew me away. Even thought I can't remember a lot of it now enough still remains for me to be amazed by. especially that line. it may make no sense to you but believe me in the context of the dream and at that moment, it fucking worked.

Someone needs to invent a dream recorder.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Spoilers)

Sun Oct 4, 2009, 7:47 PM
I've just finished watching the first season of the GC Clone Wars TV show, and oh boy, what a pile of shit. Seriously, if you still have hope for Star Wars, watch this show at watch that hope die. Seriously, its that bad.

If you thought episodes 1 2 and 3 made Anakin look like a whining pusssy then you ain't seen nothing. The series is a mockery of anything and EVERYTHING Star Wars. Let's break things down shall we?

First of all the jedi, according to this show they are blind as a fucking bat. Whenever Anakin is on screen, I just want to punch him, he is either whiny or angry and it just pisses me off that dispite blatant "path to the darkside" behaviour infront if other jedi no one seems to have called him on it.

Then there's the "suspense". This problem is a problem with prequals in general. There's no point in trying to build supense with characters that we already know will survive to appear in a shitty movie. This is quantifed in an epsiode when Padame ends up contracting a fatal disease, Anakin and Kenobi then go off to find the cure, (Anakin showing some of the "path ot the darkside" behaviour in the process I might add). Padame's exposure to the disease in done in a dramatic way (for the show at least) but the suspense is lost completely since we know for a fact she survives only to "lose the will to live" in the third movie.

Impressive, most impressive: YES, RIGHT, WE GET IT, JEDI'S SAY IMPRESSIVE AND MOST IMPRESSIVE. PLEASE STOP SAYING IT.

Jar Jar: Seriously why do they keep putting this fuckbean in? No one likes him. He's like Inspector Gadget, annoying, clumsy and only ever does anything useful through extreme luck. Not even the droids are as annoying as him, and the droids are ANNOYING.

Out of the entire seasons there is only a total of 1 episode I can say I enjoyed. I was and episode where Obi-wan Kenobi had to liberate a city so Mace Windu could land ground troops on Ryloth to free the Twi-lek's. The episode mainly focused on two clone's and a Twi-lek child they found while on patrol. The episode was completely Anakin free and made for a good watch.

I do find myself feeling sorry for Anakin's Padwan, Ahsoka. She not a bad character, a little tomboyish, but interesting. However she's going to get the biggest fuck you moment as it's obvious she's either going to die or just vanish. She doesn't deserve this fate as she's easily a more interesting character to watch than whiny boy Anakin.

Time to wrap this up I think. if your a fan of Star Wars then the new movies will have killed it for you. If you're a die hard fan that sucks Lucas's cock, you'll probably like the series, but since you suck his cock your opinion means jack shit anyway, (harsh? I think not). Basically the show continues the prequal suckage, the problem being, is that there are characters in there that aren't bad, but they're dragged down by the suck.

Oh and the whole series ending on a down note was a retarded idea. But I'll give it some credit, it wasn't a cliffhanger, just a down note.

Commission's required.

Tue Sep 8, 2009, 6:26 AM
This is possibly the most serious journal I'll ever write.

I am on the verge of being published, yes I'm serious. My dream of acctualy getting a book published is close. The books have been spellchecked, I've formatted them correctly (as best I can) and the books are a stones throw from going to print. There's only one thing stopping me, the front covers.

I'd love to have a picture on the cover and not just words, but I'm no artist. So, in this case, I have to outsource.

What I'm looking for is an artist who can draw two images, one for each book to be released. I'll not explain what I want done here, but I will say that I'd like full background images. I'm not too bothered on the style but I'd prefer a more serious style ot a more animeish style.

Now the big issue, cost. One of the reasons I'm writing this journal and not scanning DA for commissionable artists, is that I'm not that rich. I'm not stupid, I know I will need to pay for these images, but I'm hoping I can work out a deal for all three for 1 price, not three seperate. And it goes without saying you'll get a credit in the book.

If you're interested, send me a note and we can talk things over, thanks for reading.

Silent Hill 2

Wed Aug 19, 2009, 11:57 AM
Okay I've kept quiet long enough.

I've just watched Yatzee's review of Silent Hill 2. Now i've seen him and several other game reviewer/critics take SH2 and herald it as a shining beacon of gaming story telling...

BULL FUCKING SHIT!!!!!!!

Silent Hill 2 is one of the most boring, tedious, tiresome games I have had the misfortune of putting in a PlayStation, and i've played Condemed 2.

Seriosuly, what is with people and this game. I honest to god went through it and not once did I look at it and think "oooo the story and narritive of this game is superb." I forgot this game as soon as I beat it, it not even warrenting a reply.

Compare that to Silent Hill 3 for example. A game I would LOVE to play again, but the game outright freaked me out so much I can't bring myself to attempt it again.

SH2 has been analyzed, over analyzed, under analyzed, but it's still a boring piece of mediocrity in my eyes. And the sheer fanboy/girl squeal when it comes to Pyrimid Head in fucking ridiculous. He was a shit anatagonist in SH2 and he ruined the Silent Hill movie for me. There is no fun in a boss character that you can't beat. I mean really, in the game you had to wait until he killed himself! The final boss of the game, and you had to wait for him to willingly impale himself on a spike. That's one of the dumbest ideas ever for a boss.

Now before I hear the fanboy cry of "Oh you just don't get it!" my reply is thus: "I DON'T CARE!!!!" I've seen all the psycho-analysis bullshit of the game and frankly I don't care. I like psychological games as much as the next man but SH2 was just a steaming pile of boredom.

I know about peoples opinions and whatnot, blah blah blah, let people think what they want, blah blah blah. I'm fine with people having different opinions to my own. But, several of the reviewers i've seen have used lines like. "If you havn't played this game you HAVE to go and play it!" and other lines to that effect, which boils my piss royally. Say what you like about the game and leave it at that, don't make it seem like everyone and their mother lords over the game like the holy grail of gaming cause frankly it's not.
